Ghana’s referee Salifu Malik handed new appointment

Ghana’s referee Salifu Malik Alidu has been handed new appointment after his initial withdrawal from the game between Senegal and South Africa, on Friday, Jan 23.

Malik Alidu, was originally scheduled to be on the lines in the Group C game between Senegal and South Africa but his appointment was withdrawn because Ghana was in the same group with the two countries.

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF), has therefore handed him the game between Cote D’ Ivoire and Mali at the Estadio De Malabo on Saturday, January 24.

Malik Alidu will be on line two with Moroccan referee Achik Redoune on line one.

They will provide assistance for referee El Ahrach Bouchaib also from Morocco.
