Nigeria’s opposition parties mount campaign billboards in Ghana

The opposition parties in Nigeria’s upcoming elections are vigorously campaigning in Ghana.

Africa’s most populous nation goes to the polls on February 14 in an election many political watchers have described as crucial for the security of the state.

Nigeria has gained the attention of the world with the rise of insurgency spearheaded by terrorist group, Boko Haram.

The breakdown of internal security has been one of the key campaign messages being waged against the sitting President Goodluck Jonathan by the opposition parties. In Accra, the capital of Ghana where many Nigerians reside, huge billboards of opposition parties have been spotted by StarrFMonline.com at vantage points.

One such billboard, mounted by the All People's Congress (APC) at Awudome had the inscription: “Year of change”.
