Dede Ayew gives signed Samsung footballs as gifts to shoppers

Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA), has signed an endorsement agreement with Ghana Black Star player, Dede Ayew, for the 2015 African Cup of Nations tournament in Equatorial Guinea.

As part of the endorsement deal between the Olympique Marseille and Black Stars winger and Samsung will work on several promotional activities under the company’s “Go after your dreams campaign”.

The first of such promotions was held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Accra Mall. Consumers with a Samsung device or customers who purchased an item from Samsung partner shops had the opportunity to get an autograph signed in person by the talented footballer. The Samsung partner shops included Game and Telefonika at the Accra Mall.

Dede Ayew’s fans and Samsung consumers living at other parts of Accra also had their turn at the West Hills Mall on Saturday, December 27, 2014. The autograph session was held at Compu-Ghana, Palace and the Telefonika shops.

Patrons of the selected shops also had the opportunity to take photographs with Dede Ayew.

Samsung believes the footballer’s great success and global visibility in one of the world's most popular and competitive sports aligns with Samsung’s desire to encourage all individuals to go after their dreams.

Dede Ayew’s commitment to top quality football is in perfect harmony with Samsung’s commitment to deliver quality hand held devices and home appliances.

Samsung has been a long standing supporter of sports globally and is one of the key sponsors of AFCON. In Ghana, the company has been involved in several grassroots sporting initiatives including the “Dream the Blue's” campaign in partnership with Chelsea football club.
