Avram Grant to arrive in Accra on Sunday ahead of AFCON preparations

Ghana coach Avram Grant will arrive on Sunday to start preparations with the team for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.

The former Chelsea boss has been in Europe monitoring players for the tournament to be hosted by Equatorial Guinea.

Grant was reported to have met suspended trio Michael Essien, Sulley Muntari and Kevin-Prince Boateng.

He also watched some players in action, including Baba Rahman at Augsburg and Belgium-based duo Frank Acheampong and David Addy for Anderlecht and Beveren respectively.

Grant is likely to start training with his squad on Monday with the players who are in town.

Ghana will head for pre-tournament camping in Spain before jetting into Mongomo where they will be based for matches against Senegal, Algeria and South Africa.
