Ahinful slams calls to sideline Essien, Muntari and Kevin

Ex-Black Stars striker Augustine Ahinful claims it is unfair for some Ghanaians to call for Michael Essien and suspended duo Sulley Muntari and Kevin Prince Boateng to be completely sidelined from the Black Stars, stating that they are still sons of the nation.

Last week, former Ghana FA Boss, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe, threatened to lead a campaign against new Black Stars coach Avram Grant if he decides to invite the trio into the senior national team.

“The Coach has not stated that he is not going to bring Sulley or Kevin or Michael. As a father, if you child wrongs you, do you throw him out of the house or you try to counsel him and let him know that whatever he did was not the best,” Ahinful said.

“The Coach says he wants to speak to them. Probably he wants to hear from their side. For me, I have not heard from any podium that he said he is going to bring them on board so we should be very patient,” he added.
