Prophet calls for all inclusive campaign against Ebola

Prophet Nana Kusi Afram Tawiah II, General Overseer of Christ First Word Church International, has called for all hands on deck in the alertness campaign of the Ebola viral disease.

He said the campaign in the prevention of the Ebola virus should not be for government alone hence the need for Christians, Muslims and Traditionalists to go on their knees and pray fervently for the nation and the world at large.

“It is God who intervenes and heals but doctors treat sicknesses and diseases,” Prophet Afram Tawiah said.

The Prophet made the call in an interview with Ghana News Agency at his church premises at Nazareth-Akim Akroso near Akim Oda in the Eastern Region as the church organised its 44th Annual Gyedi (Faith) Festival.

The eight-day festival which begins from November 18 to November 25 , 2014 is to pray for peace, development, good health, healing, absence of diseases and economic growth in the country.

Speaking on the National Sanitation Day, Prophet Afram Tawiah suggested that it should be a daily activity, adding: “cleanliness is next to Godliness.”

Some of the activities to mark the festival would be cleanup exercise, a float and picnic at Akroso Township and its environs.

The church which was established 72 years ago have 138 branches globally and have basic schools from kindergarten to junior high and vocational school as its social responsibilities.
