Weah is my role model - Isaac Akuetteh

AC Milan youngster Isaac Akuetteh, who was hit by train in August, has said football legend George Weah has been his inspiration.

The Ghanaian, who is fast convalescing at the Sant’Anna Hospital, told Tiki Taka he cannot wait to be on his feet again as he uses clutches to aid his movements.

“My role model? He is George Weah. He is fast, technical, physical... I am inspired by him,” the 15-year-old said. “I am so happy and relieved, and hope to be back soon.”

Akuetteh appeared cheerful alongside his parents in a short video report on him at the hospital. Health officials have hinted he will be discharged shortly after showing immense signs of improvement.

The youngster is reported to have been hit by a train in the Cadorago Municipality in the Italian Province of Como while listening to music with his headset on and was unaware of the oncoming train.
