Gov't officials displaying corrupt tendencies with impunity - Yankah

The President of the Central University College, Professor Kwesi Yankah has expressed disappointment in, what he says, is the unwillingness of the Mahama-led administration to deal with the festering corruption in Ghana.

According to him, government officials now confidently display corrupt tendencies in the full glare of the public without regard.

“Corruption is now pervasive, it’s no longer concealed. I’m shocked with the impunity with which government officials now display corrupt tendencies in public.

“We do not seem to be interested in dealing with it and the government has shown inertia in dealing with it,” the former Pro- Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana told Citi FM, Friday.

He said recent developments in the country appear as though the government is unwilling or incapable of dealing with the canker.

The Mahama-administration has in recent times come under severe public attack for what critics describe as the laxity with which the Government is confronting corruption in the country.
