SSNIT invests in West Hills Mall

The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has invested in the West Hills Mall projects at Dunkonah, near Accra, to expand its investment portfolio and achieve best returns for its members.

The investment is also to solve the continuous encroachment on its Dunkonah property by finding an alternative use for the land through the location of the Mall.

The projects also aims to decongest the central shopping area through the Western Corridor.

This was contained in a statement, signed by Ms Evangeline Amegashie, Corporate Affairs Manager of SSNIT, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra.

The statement said SSNIT has a 40 per cent equity stake in the West Hills Mall Limited, while Messrs Delico Properties Development of Mauritius holds a 60 per cent share in the joint venture.

The West Hills Mall project started in December 2012, and opened on October 30, 2014.

The Mall covers a stretch of 24 acres with a 27,000 square meter of gross area at Dunkonah.

The Mall has two large Shoprite shops, one Palace shop, and a mix of local and international line shops, cinemas, restaurants and 1,145 parking bays.
