12 minutes from recess, young attacker Andreas Markis doubled the lead for the visitors but Nea Salamis reduced the deficit in the 72nd minute courtesy 30-year-old Nigerian substitute Philip Onyemah – 2-1.

Anothosis extended their lead again through Yuriy Yakovenko in the 88th minute with Spanish midfielder Diego Leon finding his name on the scoresheet for Salamis in added time to end the game at 3-2 victory for Anorthosis.
