Jeffrey Schlupp ready to play for Black Stars

Versatile Jeffrey Schlupp says he is open to any role in the Ghana team after losing the left back position to Baba Abdul Rahman.

The strong and pacy Leicester city player was given the nod in Ghana’s AFCON opener against Uganda but failed to sparkle and has since been reduced to a bench warner.

The 21-year-old, who has been used in various positions at club level, is open to the idea of playing anywhere if needs be.

“I mean I am beginning to get use to the team and I must confess the lads are awesome,” Schlupp told Africanfootball.com

“We had a great game today (Wednesday) and it has clearly lifted confidence within us, it’s strange what a good win can do to your confidence going into another win.

“Yeah it’s true I play a lot at club level because I do not restrict myself just to role I try as much as possible to help out the team in various ways and would not mind doing that for Ghana.

“I have enjoyed the game and will really love to have this atmosphere in the team.”
