Brakwa Breman Rural Bank elects Board Members

Mr Anthony Effah has been retained as Chairman of a seven-member Board of Directors for Brakwa Breman Rural Bank at its 29th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held at Brakwa.

Other officers elected were Mr Henry Kwame Amporful, Secretary, with Mr Andrew Kweku Aning, Mr Atukwei Kortei, Mr Robert Ransford Ahuren, Mr Emmanuel Ayesu Essampong, and Mr Samuel Evans Ampomah, as members.

Mr Effah,Board Chairman, announced earlier before the election that a Board member, Mr Albert Inkoom, resigned in April this year, thus creating a vacancy to be filled at the AGM.

He said two other directors, Mr Anthony Effah, chairman, and his vice, Mr Paa Kwesi Sampson Ennim, have served their first term on the Board, but were still eligible to stand.

Mr Effah disclosed that they have, therefore, expressed their willingness to continue in office and would present themselves to the shareholders to give them the mandate to continue or step down.

The five members therefore contested in the Breman Asikuma and Brakwa Zones.

The contestants for the elections for the Breman Asikuma Zone were Mr John Dickson, who polled 77 votes, while Mr Eric Ofori polled 545 to replace Mr Inkoom.

In the Brakwa Zone,Mr Anthony Effah polled 282 votes, Mr Paa Kwesi Annin Sampson had 155 votes, while Mr Samuel Evans Ampomah secured 216 votes.

Mr Effah and Mr Ampomah were selected to represent the Brakwa Zones.

Mr Osan Duodu, the ARB Apex Bank representative, acting as a returning officer, announced the results and said 622 shareholders cast their votes for the Asikuma Zone, while 653 voted in the Brakwa Zone.

The elected directors were Mr Ofori for Asikuma Zone, Mr Effah and Mr Ampomah for Brakwa Zone.
