Dzamefe Commission of Inquiry on break

The Justice Senyo Presidential Commission of Inquiry, on Thursday, brought its public sittings to an end, after almost three months of public hearing.

The Commission, tasked to investigate the participation of the Black Stars in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, announced that, it has ended its public sittings after hearing on Thursday, October 9.

The Commission however noted that, it would seek audience with players of the national team, the Black Stars in separate meetings, which is expected to be in camera.

Among the players expected to appear in camera are Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Kevin Prince Boateng and Michael Essien.

In addition, the commission is expected to engage in series of public fora’s to seek the views of the public on their work and gather more proposals on sports development.

However, Justice Dzamefe, noted that, they may be compelled to open public hearings when the need arises.

The Commission, it would be recalled started its work on Monday, August at the Media Center of the Accra Sports Stadium.
