GFA interviews Kluivert on October 17

The Ghana Football Association will be interviewing Patrick Kluivert for the vacant Black Stars coaching job on October 17, 2014.

The former Netherlands international will be questioned alongside Michel Pont and Marco Tardelli on the same day.

Then on Saturday October 18, the football governing body of the West African country will drill Avram Grant and Juan Ignicio Jimenenz who are part of a five-man shortlist hoping to replace Kwesi Appiah.

A three-man committee set up by the GFA to look for a new coach for the four-time African champions settled on the quintet after scrutinising a sea of CVs since Appiah left office on September 12.

A statement from the Ghana FA said two coaches – Bernd Schuster and Ricardo Gareca – have also been placed on standby in the event one or some of the shortlisted persons are not readily available.
