People scheming for Chief of Staff’s job - Bishop

The highly respected Catholic Bishop of the Ho Diocese, Bishop Francis Anani Lodonu, has urged the Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani, to be steadfast and resolute in his endeavours, as he supports the President to deliver on his promises.

Bishop Lodonu, who was visibly unhappy with some machinations and schemes by some faceless people to oust the Chief of Staff out of office, urged him not to be disturbed by those purported plans and assured him of God’s protection.

He said, it was God that appointed the Kpando-born Prosper Bani as Chief of staff to serve the people of Ghana, hence must be guided by faith, diligence and dedication to duty without fear or favour, in order to achieve success in the performance of his duties.

Bishop Francis Lodonu made this comment when the Chief of Staff, paid a one-day working visit to the Margret Marquart Hospital in Kpando last Tuesday, where he donated medical supplies to the Hospital.

Bishop Lodonu expressed concern about continuous media reports suggesting the removal of the Chief of Staff from office saying, “we are very grateful to God for the work that he is doing, we are praying for him because I know it is not easy. People who read the internet frequently are seeing all the things they write about him.”

This development, the Catholic Bishop observed, should not deter the Chief of Staff from delivering on his best ability, but rather, encourage him and strengthen him to work hard.

He also admonished Mr. Bani to “hold on firmly” and work tirelessly in the transformation agenda, which would ensure that Ghana competes favourably among her peers in terms of development.

Bishop Francis Lodonu used the occasion to advice Medical Doctors to be mindful of their professional ethics and uphold the principle of working to save human lives in the discharge of their duties.

He congratulated the entire Medical Staff of Margret Maquart Hospital for their dedication and hard work, irrespective of the difficult situations in which they find themselves.

The Margret Marquart Hospital was established in 1960 and have made tremendous strides in health delivery in Kpando and its surrounding communities.
