Commission of Inquiry to meet players in camera

The World Cup Commission of Inquiry is planning in camera sittings for some Black Stars players when they arrive in the country for their 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea, according to reports.

The players have been accused of holding the country to ransom after threatening to boycott their final Group match against Portugal in their appearance fees were not paid.

Captain Asamoah Gyan, Andre Ayew and Kwadwo Asamoah are some players likely to be invited by the fact-finding commission seek to ascertain what happened in Brazil. The commission set up by Ghana’s president John Mahama has heard from former coach Kwesi Appiah and Ghana FA president Kwesi Nyantakyi.

The Black Stars will be in the country next week after playing Guinea in Casablanca this Saturday in the first leg tie of their qualifier.
