Eid-Ul-Adha: Gov’t wishes Muslims well

Government on the occasion of the celebration of the Eid-Ul-Adha festival extends its greetings and felicitations to all Muslims.

Government calls on all Ghanaians to join our Muslim brethren to take stock of the manifold blessings of Allah on this auspicious occasion.

While it is a time that warrants joyous celebration, government believes that Eid-Ul-Adha offers scope for sober reflection and rededication to the time-tested values of Islam, namely peace, love as well as spiritual and moral uprightness.

Government also notes that Eid-Ul-Adha being a celebration of sacrifice enjoins us as a people to pull together and pursue nation building with a unified front and work even harder to maintain the peace and stability we enjoy through tolerance and inter-religious dialogue.

We wish all Muslims Eid Mubarak.

Edward K. Omane Boamah (Dr)
