John Boye dropped from Ghana squad

Turkey-based defender John Boye has been left out of Ghana’s squad for next month’s 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Guinea,GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm.

Interim Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu left out the 27-year-old despite his return from injury.

Boye has been out for two-weeks, nursing an ankle injury he picked up while with the Black Stars for the opening qualifiers against Uganda and Togo.

The ex Stade Rennes stopper lasted the entire duration on his return to first team action for Erciyesspor in their 1-1 draw at Konyaspor in the Turkish top flight game played on Sunday.

Coach Maxwell Konadu however doesn’t want to risk Boye on his injury return and have this left him out of his squad to be named this week.
