Stephen Oduro targets success

Asante Kotoko veteran Stephen Oduro says his experience could be coach Mas-Ud Dramani’s trump card to succeed in the CAF Champions League this season.

The Porcupine Warriors are looking to banish the nightmare of consistently bowing out of the continent’s flagship inter-club football competition.

The Ghanaian champions were eliminated two years ago by Algerian side JSM Bejaia and were dumped out last year by Liberian side BYC.

Oduro, who found the back of the net in their 2-0 pre-season win against Asokwa Deportivo, says his experience could be key to their Africa aspirations.

“I dont look like slowing down and my performance keeps improving,” Oduro told GHANASoccernet.com.

“I might not be in the team week in week out like I use to do but I am confident that whenever I am called upon I can give my bit to help the squad.

“Africa sometimes requires experience when to slow down your opponents and when to up the tempo and I am sure that I can offer those options.”
