Stephen Akwetey launches campaign as NDC regional Chairman

Former Constituency Chairman for krowor and former chairman for Accra Hearts of Oak Stephen Akwetey has launched his campaign as he contest as Greater Accra Regional NDC Chairmanship position.
The launch attracted many NDC supporters from various sectors and the grass root since his vision is to reconnect with grassroots because they are the base of political and economic power.
Stephen Akwetey said at the launch held in Accra that, the party needs to be revive for righteousness and greater Works, because political power is not meant for corruptible practice but for positive development.
He said the choice of the people in the NCD party is to an Re-connect with the grassroots, as the base of policy and Economic power.
‘Everybody in our party knows that there is some level o despondency at the grassroots level because, maybe expectations from their leaders are not being met the way they would have thought it will be, and this feeling I believe is coming because of the disconnect, he said in an interview.
He therefore call on party supporters and bigwig to work effective and efficient to develop the party and restructure the party for upcoming leaders.
These are some interaction with some members and student union present at the launch. they said “His commitment to the course of the NDC in the region is second to none and he has always identified with the various party branches and interest groups even before declaring his intentions to lead the party in the region”, student union.

It contended that the current leadership of the NDC in the region had so far failed to make any meaningful strides in growing the membership base to win the Region for the party come 2016. Party members.

“Mr. Stephen Akwetey has proven himself well with the various entrepreneurial ventures he has championed in the region to create job opportunities for the youth, including the Hill Side Village project which is giving jobs and the launch of the Health and Education Fund for Greater Accra NDC.
