'Kotoko to keep title'

A soothsayer, Isaac Gyan, believes the new domestic term of Ghana football will be rocked with confusion and when it kicks off smoothly Kotoko will retain the title

A young man who claims he is able to foretell the future has made startling revelations about Ghana football and certain clubs in the upcoming season.

Seer Isaac Kwaku Gyan, affectionately called 'Gyan the Dreamer', has insisted that there will be a serious chaos among clubs and members of the Ghana FA which will halt preparations and delay the start of the local top-flight league.

The young man revealed that some members of the GFA will even suggest to play a novelty league to beat time. “I can tell you that there is a serious trouble awaiting our [Ghana] football, the local league will suffer a lot of setbacks this season,” Gyan revealed to Goal Ghana.

“Many at times people don't take me serious when I make such declarations but at the end, it eventually happens. I openly declared on radio last season that Asante Kotoko will win the league with ease which didn't go down well with a section of the supporters of their rivals [Hearts of Oak] and they resorted in calling me names, some even threatened me when they saw me in town.

“I also told the [Asante] Kotoko top hierarchy what will happen when they meet Hearts [of Oak] in Kumasi in the league and watched the game with one of the high ranking personalities because they thought I was joking. In the finals of the FA Cup, I predicted a 2-1 win for Kotoko over Inter Allies in Accra and gave them the scenarios surrounding the winning goal,” he added.

Gyan stated: “There will be a serious trouble with our football, especially at the Football Association, in-fighting among members and certain clubs will also battle themselves to the wire even before the league starts. There is certainly going to be confusion and this will bring an uncertainty to when the local league will kick off. Some of the executives may even propose a novelty [Northern and Southern division] league because we will be far behind time.”

The clairvoyant Gyan-the-Dreamer also predicted that when everything is over, Sekondi Hasaacas and New Edubiase United will face relegation, revealing that the Bekwai-based club will suffer immensely.

“I can disclose two clubs who will be relegated this season if the league finally starts - Hasaacas and New Edubiase United - will be in hot waters but the latter's situation is because of their players. The defenders will accept bribes just as they did last season and it will bring their downfall.

“There is this boy fair in complexion with ginger hair who always appear in my revelations and he will take the local league by storm. That boy should be serious this season and God will bless his works but Asante Kotoko will retain the league no matter what Herbert Addo and his Hearts of Oak outfit do,” Gyan concluded.

The new Ghana Premier League season is expected to kick off September 21.
