Money Swine! $120,000 Landcruiser for Minister’s B’day

Interesting pictures have started emerging from last weekend’s birthday bash for controversial Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and Member of Parliament for Tano South, Dr Hannah Louisa Bisiw (now Mrs Kpormego).

Hannah Bissiw’s actual birthday fell on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 but the celebration was deferred till Saturday, August 2, 2014.

Invitations were sent to colleague ministers and their deputies and party faithful, but many could not turn up on the day of the celebration for unknown reasons.

Insiders said the timing for such a lavish party was wrong, especially since the country is on its knees, with the economy in shambles.

The colourful party took place at the premises of the Tema Development Corporation (TDC) in the heart of the habour city, on the evening of last Saturday, and saw a number of government officials, especially members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications team, in attendance.

This lavish party took place at a time President Mahama was in the United States begging for a financial bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to save the Ghanaian economy from collapsing totally.

The highest point of the celebration was the presentation of a brand new (tear-rubber) 4×4 Toyota Landcruiser Prado 2014 Model, estimated to cost $120,000, by her husband Dr Francis Kpormego, a medical doctor based in Jamaica with Good Shepherd Medical Complex.

Many could not believe their eyes when the husband handed the keys of the vehicle to Hannah; her mood however, did not show that of a person who was surprised at the gift, except to express appreciation to the man with whom she has a set of twins.

The party instantly became the talk of town, with some government officials wondering why she decided to host such a mega bash in these austere times, as they were afraid that the media would pick up the story, with a resultant bashing by the public.

It was an interesting sight to behold when the Deputy Minister hit the dance floor with her husband. At a point, an over joyous Hannah removed her shoes and danced barefoot to cheers and applause from the crowd.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2014, Mr. Kpormego posted a birthday message and wishes to his sweetheart, Hannah, on his facebook wall in which he stated; “happy, happy birthday to u my dear wife and my handsome son!! It is an extreme epitome of joy to celebrate both of u on this special day!! God richly bless both of u and I love both of u dearly!!! The party will, surely, be later, all are invited, hahahahahaha!!!!”
