Horseman Shoes wins Brand Discovery award

.... at maiden SME Ghana Awards

The Chief Executive Officer of Horseman Shoes, Mr Tonyi Senayah has expressed his appreciation to the President of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama for the recognition of their efforts and massive endorsement in Parliament at the 2014 State of the Nation Address which shot the Horseman Shoes brand to the forefront of the minds of millions of people.

Mr Senaya who is also known as the "President's shoemaker" made this statement when Horseman Shoes won the Brand discovery of the year at the maiden edition of the SME Ghana Awards.

"It's a feat we dedicate to our customers for their loyalty, patronage and most importantly, feedback. We again want to say thank you to the President, John Mahama for his massive endorsement of Horseman Shoes."

He added that Horseman Shoes will continuously strive to be the best in producing quality products, customer care and in line with their core ideology, create fulfilling job opportunities for the youth.

The SME Ghana Awards is organized by Imagine-8 Company Limited in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the World Association of SMEs.

At the awards ceremony was the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Kweku Ricketts Hagan.He assured SMEs of government supports especially in the area of providing credit facilities to them so as to enhance their production.

The main aim of the event is to showcase Ghana's successful SMEs, highlight and promote the roles SMEs play in economic development, encourage

SMEs to use ICT by establishing their own websites to connect better and do business with larger enterprises.

The SME Ghana Awards is aimed at showcasing successful SMEs and the contribution made by various stakeholders in promoting the growth of SMEs.

Horseman Shoes is a Ghanaian based footwear manufacturing company which produces men’s dress shoes, unisex sandals and slippers, school sandals and safety boots.

Horseman Shoes seeks to become the biggest footwear manufacturers in Africa in terms of employment and brand preference

It won the Global Professional Achievers Young Entrepreneur 2011 Award and was one of the 10 finalists of “MY BUSINESS 2010”, a Joy FM young entrepreneurial mentorship program.

Horseman Shoes was a prize winner in the 2010/2011 UT/Enablis Business Launchpad competition to unearth young entrepreneurs.
