Afum opens goalscoring account as Swiss Super League begins

The former Hearts of Oak attacker scored a late goal on Saturday to snatch a draw for Young Boys in their season opener

Ghana attacker, Samuel Afum came from the bench to register his name on the scoresheet as Young Boys snatched a late draw with St. Gallen in the 2014/2015 Swiss Super League opener.

The 23-year-old came on in the 80th minute at the time Young Boys were 2-1 down.

But Afum’s striker in the 90th minute gave the away side a valuable point in the season’s debut game.

Young Boys will host Aarau in their second league match next Sunday.

Afum is in his third season at the Swiss club after joining them in 2012 from Egyptian side, Smouha.
