Call on gov’t to make dollarization of economy illegal

Poultry Farmers and Feed Manufacturers are expressing concern about Ghanaians still quoting their prices of local products in dollars.

One of the Farmers and Feed Manufacturer, Lewis Pendragon, says government needs to make sales of local products such as palm kernel cake in dollars, illegal.

On the new regulations released by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture on the importation of chicken, Mr Pendragon said it is timely and in the right direction.

He said the importation of rice should also be regulated to encourage local production and enhance economic development.
