National Service Director never contested on NPP ticket

Truth is like cork which can never submerge; one can suppress it, but as soon as depressed, the cork will pop-up; bringing the truth with it.

In recent times, attempts have been made to imply that the current Executive Director of the Ghana National Service Scheme (GNSS), Alhaji Imoro Alhassan, had once contested as parliamentary candidate on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Kumbungu Constituency in the 2004 general elections; that is not true.

Contrary to assertions by the detractors, comprehensive checks by The Informer reveals that, though there was one Prince Imoro Alhassan Andani who was the NPP’s 2004 Parliamentary Candidate in the area, it is not the GNSS Executive Director that those spreading the falsehood want Ghanaians to believe.

Courtesy the series of books on Ghanaian elections by Mr. Ben Ephson; our scan of part of the book on the count-down to the 2008 elections to set the records straight repudiates these lies and also buttresses our position that, GNSS Executive Director never contested on NPP ticket.
