Operational business suite, a game changer - SSNIT

Mr Sylvester Anko-Bil, Volta/Eastern Region Area Manager of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has said the introduction of its innovative "Operational Business Suite" would be a game changer when fully rolled out.

He said the dynamics of the new technology would deliver a master card electronically after beneficiaries have undergone biometric registration, which is a departure from business-as- usual.

Mr Anko-Bil told beneficiaries of the scheme and would-be members at a public advocacy programme at Hohoe on Friday.

He said the registration period, which would span 24 months is segmented in phases to give ample time to capture old and new clients.

The Area Manager said the master or smart card would ensure free access and deliver state-of-the-art services with each beneficiary having a new biometrically generated SSNIT number.

Mr Forster K. Kusorgbor, Hohoe branch Manager of SSNIT said the OBS would create multiple delivery channels to customers, make transaction easier, eliminate fraud and reduce benefits processing time.

He said the new platform is expected to facilitate collaboration between SSNIT, business partners, banks, National Health Insurance Scheme and Students' Loan Trust.
