MTN heroes of change 2013 marked

The 2013 Grand final of the MTN heroes of change has tonight marked with a splendid performance laid at the Accra international Conference center in Accra.
Among the 600 people who submitted their project as heroes, 20 were selected to participate in these competitions based on project presented to the committee. All the 20 people received award from MTN Ghana and survinuors meanwhile 6 people were selected to become finalist at the night.
Among the six heroes who made up to the finalist,Dr. Kwame Abrokwaa Yankyera who is the only eight plastic surgeons in Ghana and has operated over 82 person on plastic surgeons for free of charge become the heroes of change for MTN Ghana and the nation for saving life across Ghana.
He took home GH50 thousand Ghana Cedis to support his foundation and some suvinors from MTN Ghana,Meanwhiles five other took home GH 10,000 and survinours.
Dr. Kwame Abrokwaa, disclose in an interview stating that achieving a vision as surgeon there was no other ways to give back to society what the lord has bless me with .
He noted the person in the rural areas seems to encounter difficulty in terms of surgical operation therefore there is the need to provide access to these people.
This he said made him realize the large percentage of Ghanaians who in the rural areas are forced to live with easily correctible problems their whole lives because they do not have access to plastic surgeons.
He added that this situation of patient made him establish the Graft Foundation to reach out to people in rural communities and improvised areas who need plastic surgery and with a heartfelt he offer to these people for free of charge.
He calls on Ghanaians and other entities to support other foundation so that the valuable can also benefit.
The MTN heroes of change was establish under the MTN Ghana Foundation with the recognition that there are selfless and extraordinary Ghanaian’s doing amazing things in community spread across Ghana, whereby these award was instituted to honour the good work done by these heroes.
The heroes of change seeks to unearth and celebrate people who have engaged in extraordinary activities is their communities.it also seek to celebrate the contribution of the heroes and heroines in the development of the society.
