President's shoemaker to Open Showroom and retail Store

Having enjoyed a ‘free presidential endorsement’ from President John Dramani Mahama when he delivered the State of the Nation address, Ghana’s talented shoemaker, Mr. Tonyi Senayah of Horseman Shoes is set to officially open the Horseman Shoes showroom and retail store at Kokomlemle here in Accra this Friday.

The opening of a showroom and retail store which is the first of several showrooms would feature quality leather footwear which has been designed for ‘anybody who likes to wear shoes and other quality footwear.

“Horseman Shoes is known for its modern and futuristic designs, so come Friday, you will see what this year’s creation will look like, It would also give the opportunity for our clients to find us, interact with us and to satify them”, says Mr. Senayah.

He urged all and sundry to come support the opening of the showroom and retail store as well as patronize these qualities and stylish made in Ghana shoes. ‘The vision of Horseman Shoes is to be the biggest footwear manufacturing company in Africa in terms of employment and brand preference’ he added

Horseman shoes were recently endorsed by His Excellency the President of Ghana, President John Dramani Mahama when he delivered the State of the Nation address. President Mahama revealed the brand of shoes he wore to the event and in the process, praised Horseman Shoes for manufacturing footwear that were comfortable and comparable to those made elsewhere in the world.

“Mr Speaker, I tell you, they are very nice, very comfortable shoes. In fact, I am wearing a pair right now. Those who doubt can follow me to the speaker’s chamber after here; I will remove them for you to see,” the President said to thunderous laughter and cheers from the crowd in Parliament.

Mr. Senayah has participated in high level programmes including an invitation from the United States President to participate in the Innovation Summit and Mentoring Partnership programme which is President Obama’s contribution to the Young African Leaders’ Initiative – a long-term effort to develop an enduring and productive U.S.-Africa relationship with the continent’s youth.

Mr. Senayah is a recipient of multiple awards and recogntions. Just in 2013, he received 6 awards including two top awards from the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), "Young Enterprise Company of the year 2013" and "Leather Company of the year 2013".

In 2011, the Global Professional Achievers Award (GPA) also adjudged Mr. Tonyi Senayah, the YOUNG ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR at its 10th Anniversary dinner and awards night Horseman Shoes was one of the 10 finalists of “MY BUSINESS 2010”, a Joy FM young entrepreneurial mentorship program and a prize winner in the 2010/2011 UT/Enablis Business Launchpad competition to unearth young entrepreneurs.
