British Airways tax exclusive for customers

British Airways' Ghanaian customers can fly to London on the new B747-400 for as little as $ 74.00, tax exclusive.

The special promotion is to celebrate the introduction of the B747 on the Accra route from the end of March, 2014 and also to thank its customers for their support over the years.

Moran Birger, BA Country Commercial Manager Ghana announced the special fares at a press soiree in Accra, noting that the move was to appreciate its customers.

From March 30, the airline would start flying the largest commercial passenger aircraft out of Accra, replacing its smaller B777 aircraft and adding capacity of over a 1000 seats a week, just six months after it upped its schedule between London and Accra from seven to ten services a week.

Mr Birger said the astonishing $ 74.00 (tax exclusive) fare is in line with the airlines promise to keep exciting our Ghanaian customers. The 747-400 can accommodate 337 passengers in a four-cabin configuration First, Club World, World Traveller Plus and World Traveller.

We adjust our schedules and capacity to reflect demand and this is another example of just that. More seats also mean more choice and flexibility to our customers," noted Mr Birger.

The special promo fare of $ 74.00 is exclusive of taxes and can only be booked from Monday 24th Match till 31st March for travel from end of March till June 2014. Mr Kola Olayinka, BA General Manager, West Africa stated: "it's about the customer, this is not a cheap stunt".

Currently British Airways operates ten weekly flights out of Accra; three using Boeing 767 aircraft departing at 08:10 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, and the remainder departing at night every day, which would be on the 747 aircraft.
