Rashid Sumaila declared fit to face Kaizer Chiefs tonight

Mamelodi Sundowns have confirmed that Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has ben cleared by the medical team of the team’s crucial league game against Kaizer Chiefs tonight.

Also declared fit for the table-topping clash in Bongani Zungu. Sumalia has been recovering from the hamstring pull he suffered against Maritzburg United in the team’s last league game in December.

Zungu picked up a knock during the side’s recent trip to Zambia.

"Bongani Zungu and Rashid Sumaila have been cleared by the medical team,” Sundowns PRO, Kabelo Mosito, told sundownsfc.za.

“However Alje Schut and Cuthbert Malajila must still undergo a late fitness test on match day to determine their availability for the crucial league encounter.”

The match was initially scheduled to take place on 23 November but was moved to 11 December and then 28 January before it was moved to January 23.
