We Rise or fall as One Nation –Hon. Ologo

A leading member of the ruling National Democratic Party, (NDC) Hon. Michael Ologo has reminded Ghanaians to remain united and uphold the Ghanaian spirit for we rise or fall as one nation.
The unsuccessful Yilo krobo NDC 2012 Parliamentary aspirant stated that “The idea that we are responsible for ourselves but we always rise or fall as one nation, and the fundamental believe that I am my brother’s keeper, and you are your sister’s keeper are the promises we need to keep”.
The youth activist made the declaration at a gathering attended by both NDC party members and members of the opposition, community and opinion leaders in somanya, in the Yilo Krobo Municipality in the eastern region over the week end.
Hon. Ologo posited that “we need to revive the Ghanaian spirit and hold it up high: the Ghanaian spirit and the promises of our forefathers that binds us together in spite of our differences, the spirit that makes us fix our eyes not on what is seen but what is unseen, that there are better places around the bend, and that promise is our greatest inheritance, that promise is what is driving immigrants across the ocean to the shores of Ghana”.
The inspirational speaker stated further that, the eight months 2012 election petition at the Supreme Court affected the Ghanaian economy adversely, and during those times Ghana was seen by the international donor and credit granting institutions as a risk country, “so you see, we were tagged as one people, they didn’t say the NDC and the NPP Ghana, they said Ghana, and anytime you hear Ghana it means you and I irrespective of the party in power and our political differences”.
The humble Politician further appealed to Ghanaians that “It requires a renew sense of responsibility from each of us as citizens of Ghana for any political party’s promises to be fulfilled in this country. For as much as Government must do, it is ultimately the faith, unity, and determination of the Ghanaian people upon which it relies”.
