Vodafone unveils ‘Red’ aim to discourage multiple sims

Telecommunications giant, Vodafone Ghana, has unveiled new bundle plans that offer customers voice minutes, data and texts for a fixed fee as little as GHS5 per week.

The new bundle, dubbed ‘Red’ is aimed at providing a better customer experience and discouraged multiple sims by customers in an extremely competitive market. The new range of weekly and monthly integrated bundles comes in four unique versions: ‘Red Life Weekly’ at GHS5 per week, ‘Red Rush’ at GHS20, ‘Red Hot’ at GHS50, and ‘Red Classic’ at GHS100 per month respectively -- customers are required to dial *200# and choose the most suitable Red plan. According to Vodafone, every Red customer will enjoy VIP treatment at its call centres and retail shops, and free browsing at Vodafone internet cafes.

Speaking at the launch in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Ghana, Haris Broumidis explained that the consumers in Ghana have suffered the inconvenience of carrying multiple sims for too long, adding that “This is because they have not found the value they deserve from one mobile operator. “

Haris said: “We have introduced ‘Red’ to help put an end to the hassle and nuisance of carrying multiple sims. We understand how consumers communicate and with its unique combination of benefits, we are confident that consumers will choose Red to satisfy all their communication needs.”
