“Give the world the best you have, and the best will come back to you with multiple blessings”

The year is ending, and a new one is approaching. Wouldn’t it be more rewarding and inspiring to start the new year with a fresh and renewed spirit and commitment? This call is specifically for employers to go the extra mile and make the work place a happier and more fulfilling than the year before. Such a move is not without its merits as it carries a lot of dividends.

One can create a happy workplace with minimum investment. What it requires is a reflection to focus more on the positive sides i.e the little things that make a difference in people’s lives. Recognition, praise, appreciation, gratitude and flexibility will go a long way to make your workforce happier and productive. The dividends as mentioned earlier comes in many ways. Employees will become happy, produce better, customers are satisfied and remain loyal to the company, profits go up and threats from competitors become less and less; staff retention remains high and credibility of the company stands tall etc.

Making your organization or company a happy place to work is an essential component of running a successful and long lasting business. If all the above blessings do not make you happy, wonder what will.

Your job is “people” and their “feelings”. This refers both to your employees as well as your customers. That is where your priority should be, as the survival and success of your business or service highly depends on these two determining factors. Therefore let your 2014 priority resolution be “Creating A Happy Work Place

I cannot conclude this message without sharing a good advice to the employees. Stay focused and do your job with utmost commitment, efficiency and most of all trust. In this way, you will prove that you are worthy of such a place. To get what we have never had, we must do what we have never done. To create such kind of environment, it takes a strong top down and bottom up approach. This is a challenge to both employers and employees.

May the New Year bring abundant peace, stability and prospect to Ghana, its citizens as well as to those who work and reside in it.
