Lakeside Marina Park is 10 years

Alhaji Salah Kal Moni, Director of Lakeside Marina Park, said they would soon build the first-ever water slide and film park to make their customers more relaxed and comfortable.

He said the company also has a 10-year plan to build recreation mall, tourists’ hall, open air theatre, ferries’ wheel and mini train to make the park the best tourists centre for Africa.

Alhaji Moni announced this during their 10th anniversary celebration of the recreational park in Accra at the weekend.

He claimed the park has grown over the years to become the first family relaxation park in Ghana.

The Director stated that to give a facelift to the park, management had introduced night operations at the club house and also built the first inland beach to make the park more comfortable for customers.

“The company chose to establish the park because they believe in “work and happiness” and 10 years after that decision, we ended up giving out to the people the worth of the land. We have transformed the pool into an inland beach, a replica of Miami Beach in the United States,” he said.

Mrs. Emilia Aggrey, Assistant Park Manager, said about 50 to 400 customers patronise the park weekly depending on the occasion.

She said they normally had bookings for weddings and receptions and urged the public to patronise the facility to add a touch to their gatherings.

Managing Director of Lakeside Estates, Prince-Joseph Kofi Ayiku, urged all corporate bodies, religious groups and families to use the park for their christmas activities. He said since we are in the festive season, the park was own to all.

Lakeside Marina Park, a family theme park is located at Lakeside Estates, near Ashaley Botwe in Accra.
