Duncan sacking is wrong - Harry Zakkour

Celebrated Hearts of Oak CEO, Harry Zakkour, feels the timing of the sack of David Duncan as Hearts head coach is wrong.

Zakkour who led the Phobians to continental glory in 2000 has still not gotten the full details of the incident leading to Duncan’s dismissal but feels the board’s decision to sack the coach is wrong.

Duncan was told his appointment has been terminated on Friday afternoon after a brief meeting with the club’s board chairman.

“We are playing the league and we are second on the league and I think the decision is a wrong one,” he told Accra-based Hot FM.

“I have not had the full details of it. I tried to get hold of Neil but I have not been successful. I entreat the fans to calm down and wait for the explanation.”

Hearts board chairman Togbe Afede XIV has been accused of solely taking the decision to part ways with the coach.
