Polytank wins award

The Entrepreneur Foundation of Ghana (EFG) has adjudged Polytank as the Rubber Storage Tank Product of the Year at the maiden Ghana Made Products Awards. Ghana’s super brand in water storage won the award for its outstanding performance.

The event, on the theme: “Patronising Ghana Made Products, the Gateway to Economic Development,” is to provide the platform for Ghanaian consumers to patronise Ghana made products.

It is also to create awareness, loyalty, recognition and prestige for Ghana made products and encourage Ghanaian industries to make significant improvement in product excellence.

Mr Gabriel Opoku-Asare, Group Corporate Manager, told the Ghana News Agency that the company was the largest and leading manufacturer of over-head plastic water storage tanks in Ghana.

He said it commanded enviable reputation on the Ghanaian business scene for being one of the leading producers of water tanks in Africa. Mr Opoku-Asare said the company, which was established in 1992, was the first to introduce large rotational molded water storage tanks in Ghana.

He said the company was the first to produce many products such as dustbins, traffic cones, promotional kiosks, industrial containers, plastic septic tanks, plastic pallets and dry toilet systems.

Mr Opoku-Asare said Polytank had a strong institutional, consumer and export customer base and employed a customer-focused approach which had built long-term relationships with its customers.
