RE: Emirates statement – passenger complaint published on Ghanaweb

Emirates' staff will always endeavour to offer passengers assistance and solutions where possible, however visa applications are the sole responsibility of the passengers. Emirates abides by the rules and regulations of the respective issuing country, and failure to do so will result in penalties for the airline.

Passengers must always check with the appropriate embassy, consulate or official visa issuing office on the travel documents required. The administration of cancellation fees is standard when passengers do not meet the fare conditions of the tickets they have purchased; these are not selective, random or punitive.
