No fee for Mahama's Atlanta address – Gov’t

The Ghanaian Government has rubbished speculations that Ghanaians in the USA will have to pay to watch President Mahama deliver a speech later today in Atlanta.

Reports are rife on social media platforms that organizers of a program to be attended by the president are charging fees for attendance contrary to regulations by the Ghanaian embassy in the USA.

But in a reaction copied to XYZ news, government officials traveling with the president denied the allegations.

The statement noted although the president will address the Ghanaian community in Virginia at Atlanta this evening, he will not be part of any event that demands money from Ghanaians before they can meet the president.

It added that the president will only address and attend programs that have been approved by the Ghanaian embassy in the United State.
