Lec Foundation Launches Success Africa Conference

When we talk about the ore of Africa’s Success, it is where we can find the Success of Africa. We have being faced with problems ranging from Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Career and for Africa to be successful; it must create a platform where all these issues must be addressed.

LEC Creativity International in partnership with other organisations such as the University Of Leadership and Entrepreneurship College is organising the SUCCESS AFRICA CONFERENCE starting from the 5th of October at university of Ghana, Legon where they will host one in KNUST and then to Tamale and have a round up for Ghana’s edition at UCC, where other countries such as Nigeria and Liberia will also have their turn.

Success Africatook place for the first time in March 2008 at the University of Cape Coastwhich had speakers of Dr. Joyce Aryee and KSM and Ibok Oduro of KNUST. About 300 students took part in the programme and by popular request from participants that same year another edition was held on 13th September, 2008 with another set of speakers namely Albert Ocran, Rev Prof Safo Kantanka and Patrick Otieku Boadu. Attendance increased to 800, and many lives were impacted.

In the year 2009, the organizers LEC Foundationled by their founder Kusi Prempeh Albertdecided to take the conference to the next level and also make it annually event instead of twice in a year. Saturday 12th September 2009 was set for the 3rd Edition and it hosted Speakers like Emmanuel Dei-Tumi, George Andah formerly of MTN and Esther Cobbah CEO Stratcomm Africa, attendance that year also shot to 950, and participants were empowered to move to the next level. Speakers like KSM, George George Oladiran Babafemiand Samuel Appiah of MTN took the stage to empower participants on the theme: moving beyond your boundaries, even though attendance decreased to 700 it was still within expectation In the year 2011 ,management took a bold decision to step out of the University of Cape Coastand move to other campuses ,so Takoradi Polytechnic, Koforidua Polytechnic, KNUST and Zenith University College for the first time experience Success Africaon their various campuses and speakers were increased due to increase in number of campuses. For all these years it was difficult catching the attention of a potential sponsor but in 2011, God heard our prayers and some companies came to assist us with funds to push it through. First Capital Plus Bank, MTN, Zenith Bank and RLG were the sponsors of the programme. UCC attendance shot up to an unprecedented attendance of 1200, and this was under the able leadership of Ampofo Princeand the entire team. Thanks to Speakers like KSM, Dr.Paa Kwesi Ndoum, Roland Agambire among others

Last year 2012, all we wanted to do was to stretch the vision to as many campuses as possible and this was the decision of the Board Chairman Dr.Stephen Enchil, so we settled on 20 Tertiary Campuses in Ghana. It was a tough journey and at a point, we felt like giving up but we kept going, thanks to our Sponsors: SSNIT, Tigo Ghana, First Capital Plus, Star life Assurance, Etranzact, Matalan and CAL Brokers and we traveled with a team of 50 Speakers. Sam GfpObafemi Banigbe, Bernard Kelvin Clive, John Kofi Mensah CEO First Capital Plus and George Oladiran Babafemi.
