UK Publishing firm honours Ghanaian Shoemaker

The Chief Executive Officer of Horseman Shoes, Mr. Tonyi Senayah has been awarded the OUTSTANDING PRODUCT QUALITY AWARD for his passion for quality and strive for excellence at this year's Ghana Leadership Awards Dinner in Accra at the weekend.

The award was presented by the African Leadership Magazine, a publication for business executives, government officials, and development leaders across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and the U.S. African Leadership Magazine’s Publisher, Dr. Ken Giami, presented the award to Mr Senayah at the event.

The awards under the theme: ‘The Change That Ghana Needs', was under the Chairmanship of H.E. President John Agyekum Kufour, former president of Ghana with the keynote address delivered by Professor Stephen Adei, former Rector, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).

According to Mr Senayah, he is dedicating the award to his workers and customers whose valuable feedback has brought Horseman Shoes this far.

"In as much as we have gotten this recognition, we very much believe that making quality shoes is still work in progress" he added.

Other recipients of the awards included Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Trade and Industry Minister, Hon. Dr Danaa, Chieftaincy Minister, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Deputy Education Minister, Professor Stephen Adei, former Rector of GIMPA and Mr Prince Amoateng, the CEO of UT Holdings.

Horseman shoes is a Ghanaian based footwear manufacturing company that make quality and fashionable footwear with the finest of leather. Some of which are men's dress shoes, Unisex sandals and slippers, School sandals and Security boots.

Tonyi Senaya is an Alumnus of the President of the United States of America Young leaders groupHorseman Shoes won the Global Professional Achievers Young Entrepreneur 2011 AwardHorseman Shoes was a prize winner in the 2010/2011 UT/Enablis Business Launchpad competition to unearth young entrepreneurs.Horseman Shoes was one of the 10 finalists of “MY BUSINESS 2010”, a Joy FM young entrepreneurial mentorship program.
