The Royal Bank calls on Gbese Mantse

The Gbese Mantse, Nii Ayi Bonte II, has applauded The Royal Bank (TRB) for investing into the economy, stressing that such investments are needed to help grow the economy.

The Gbese Mantse made this statement when the Deputy Managing Director led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on him, and also made a presentation to support the Homowo Festival celebrations.

Welcoming the team, Nii Gbese commended The Royal Bank for keeping a closer relationship with the traditional authorities in the Ga state, emphasising that “such collaborations ultimately accrue to the benefit of the community”.

He noted that traditional authorities have the advantage of being close to the people, and so are able to provide the necessary information and identify the areas of focus companies should direct their attention to.

In response, Mr. Charles Otoo, The Deputy Managing Director of The Royal Bank, thanked Nii Gbese for opening his doors to the Bank.

Giving a brief background of the Bank, Mr. Otoo said that The Royal Bank is a wholly-owned Ghanaian entity established by a group of successful entrepreneurs who have excelled in their fields of endeavour.

He mentioned that TRB believes in investing in people and technology, hence it has recruited very experienced staff with solid banking backgrounds. “We believe that our strong capital base and investment in technology and staff puts us ahead of our competitors,” he noted.

Speaking on the future of the Bank in Ghana, Mr. Otoo said that plans are far advanced to open more branches in the North Industrial Area, Spintex, Achimota, Maamobi, Kumasi and Sefwi Asawinso.

“It is our expectation that by the close of 2013, The Royal Bank will have 11 branches spread out in three regional capitals.

On product development, the deputy managing director revealed further that the Bank will soon launch its ATM services, products for Kids and auto loans, to mention but a few, for its customers. He also talked about TRB’s private banking which gives the opportunity to High Net Worth customers to benefit from special banking services, such as exclusive offers and pre-negotiated discounts, financial planning etc. “For me, this is the best time to join The Royal Bank; and it is my prayer that no one is left out in the Royal Banking experience.”

Nii Gbese prayed for growth of the Bank and called for God’s blessings, and urged management of the Bank not to hesitate to call on him when the need arises.
