Trouble in Kumasi NPP deepens

Kwabena Ebo, alias Kwabena Senkyire, the Ashanti Regional Vice Chair of NPP has revealed that his constant quarrels with Collins Owusu Amankwah, MP for Manhyia North is because of the latter’s “disrespect” for Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, Manhyia South MP.

The Vice Chair, while speaking on Adom FM, did not tell the exact actions of Owusu Amankwah that amounted to disrespect.

Meanwhile, the issue has created lots of brouhaha in the Manhyia North constituency.

Mr. Senkyire who appears to have lost much respect from his party men in the constituency is said to be popular for hating the young MP; not wanting to hear any good thing about him.

During the last general elections, he was alleged to have openly campaigned against Mr. Owusu Amankwah, then NPP parliamentary candidate for the area.

Even though people in Ashanti Region, especially those in the Manhyia North Constituency, are aware of the state of the Senkyire-Amankwah saga, the former while on Adom FM recently, painted an all-is-well picture.

However, when pushed further by the host, the NPP capo blurted, ‘he (Owusu Amankwa) doesn’t respect Napo’.

The question on people’s mind is whether or not the NPP Vice Chair was instigated by Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh to ‘fight’ on his behalf.

Mr. Owusu Amankwah who was later called onto the show expressed his disgust, saying, Mr. Senkyire and others’ actions are disintegrating the biggest opposition party in Ghana.

“The very acts of Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe and Wereko-Brobby which we are all condemning are the same things he (Senkyire) and his cohorts are doing here, and it is equally condemnable”, he stated.

The cool headed MP refused to be dragged into the mud, but only reechoed the question his people have been asking him, ‘so is it Napo who has been instigating him to always oppose and attack me’?

The MP said though he is in his first year in office, his constituents are witnessing the good and selfless heart with which he serves and hence greatly admire and love him.

After mentioning a few of the projects he had sponsored so far, Hon. Owusu Amankwah stated that he is very focused and would not be distracted by any person or group.
