Justice Kpegah is living in an illusionary world - Nana Addo's Lawyer

One of the legal members of Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo in the case between former Supreme Court Judge, Justice Francis Yaonasu Kpegah and Akufo-Addo, Godfred Dame says Justice Kpegah ‘has nothing under his sleeves’.

According to him, he is not surprised that Justice Kpegah is intending to pursue the case further, adding; ‘he is living in an illusionary world’.

Justice Kpegah has said he will appeal against the ruling by the High Court which dismissed the suit he filed against the 2012 flagbearer for the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo accusing him of impersonation.

According to him, he was displeased with the ruling and indicated that he will review the ruling and file the necessary applications.

Speaking in an interview on Citi FM eye witness news, Thursday, lawyer Godfred Dame said: “Justice Kpegah can live in his own illusionary world; I am not surprised at all. This is a very reckless and irresponsible case he brought. He describes himself as a former member of the General Legal Counsel; a deputy Chief Justice, a position which doesn’t even exist. He lives in his own world”.

He reiterated that Justice Kpegah has acted ‘most irresponsibly and indeed the ruling of the court affirmed my position’.

As regards to the case which was dismissed, lawyer Dame said the ruling will put to rest all unnecessary doubts concerning the qualification of Nana Akufo-Addo as a lawyer.

He said even though this act (Justice Kpegah’s suit) was purposely initiated to distract Nana Akufo-Addo, ‘he had his (Nana) eyes fixed on the relevant matters; this was never a distraction for him’.

“Justice Kpegah promised a first round knockout; now who has been given a first round knockout? It is him (Justice Kpegah),” he added.
