Gyan rules out Europe switch

Ail Ain and Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan is unmoved over reports linking him away from the United Arab Emirates to an unnamed club in Europe.
Media reports in Ghana indicated that Gyan, who has scored 50 goals in 47 outings for his club in the Etisalat league, will soon leave for Europe after he won his second league title last month.
But the former Sunderland star has rubbished those reports in the local media by giving an assurance that he has not thought of parting company with the UAE Pro League Champions any time soon.
"I have not thought about moving to Europe, I will not even do that because for now I still have three years contract running with my club Ail Ain,” he said.
He continued: "Our aim was to win the league and we have done that, but unfortunately we were kicked out of the Asian Champions league, and our aim next season is to do well in the Asian Champions league.
Gyan, who won the golden boot award last season with 22 goals in the Pro Etisalat league, is on course to win another accolade, after he scored a hat-trick in their last match against Dubai Cultural Sports Club to take his goal tally to 28 goals in 20 league games this season, with his closest rival Grafite on 24 goals.
