President Mahama is not a magician

A member of the ruling NDC government communication team, Kwame Dombey has said that the President is not a magician to change the erratic energy supply within three months in office as President.

He added that the President can make projections based on the factors available but the expectations may not happen the way for which it has been planned.

Speaking on Okay FM, the NDC communicator debunked the notion of some political parties which are agitating for coup that they cannot revolt against the government which Ghanaians had voted for, insisting that it is strange that some people are looking for change in the country within three months.

According to him, the President has made efforts to address the energy situation as he has discussed with the Nigerian President over the West African Gas Pipeline to supply gas to the Asogli thermal plant and other generators in the country, whereas the Takoradi T3 thermal plant has been inaugurated to commence operation.

He further said that this movement by the President shows that the government is concerned about the situation as there is improvement now in the Greater Accra Region.

In view of those criticizing the government negatively, he said President Mahama is not the only one whose reign has experienced energy crises, reminding that the erstwhile Kufuor’s administration was given some months to settle down before he started dealing with the problems of the country.

He jabbed that the opposition NPP should rather offer constructive and purposeful criticisms but instead are being diabolic with their submission over the crises in the country, adding that the same energy situation rocked the country almost two years under Ex-President Kufuor’s government.
