I expect nothing but the trophy - Afriyie-Ankrah

Minister for Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, says he expects nothing but the coveted African Youth Championship trophy from the Black Satellites in their crucial final game against favorites Egypt.
In an exclusive interview with footy-ghana.com, he revealed that, before the team embarked on the continental campaign he tasked the technical team and the players to replicate what their predecessors in 2009 did.
“The ministry and the government of Ghana is solidly behind the team. Before they left Ghana I spoke to them and told them I wanted the cup and so far they are doing what I told them to do.
"What they have to do is to replicate what the 2009 batch did. For me, it was great seeing the youngsters exhibit their potential in the semifinal against Mali. It was a great achievement for the team, and we congratulate them but they should go for the kill on Saturday and that will definitely put the icing on the cake,” he added.
Afriyie-Ankrah also told footy-ghana.com that he has sent a goodwill message to Sellas Tetteh and his lads, noting that they have made Ghana proud and will receive a hero’s welcome when they touch down in Ghana with the trophy .
