Atobrah stripped of New Edubiase captaincy

Asiedu Atobrah has been stripped of the New Edubiase captaincy, the club has confirmed.

The impressive youngster has been informed of the decision by the Bekwai-based side after going AWOL.

Atobrah left the team’s camp without permission ahead of their return leg of the CAF Confederation Cup tie against Diables Noir.

Club President Abdul Salam Yakubu has confirmed Atobrah has been stripped of his leadership role at the club.

“I can confirm that Asiedu Atobrah is no more the captain of New Edubiase,”Yakubu said.

“The club was left with no choice after he put up that unfortunate attitude.

Atobrah was absent as Edubiase bundled out of the CAF Confederation Cup in their debut season after going down 5-4 on penalties against the Congolese side.
