Accusations of corruption are unfounded - MD State Housing

The Managing Director of the State Housing Company, Mark Nii Akwei Ankrah has denied accusations of corruption made against him in some newspaper reports.

According to media reports, the State Housing Company (SHC) has been mismanaged with the leasing part of its head office lands to investors.

Top officers of the company have also been accused of massive schemes to rip off the state entity.

Speaking to Citi News the Managing Director of the State Housing Company Mr. Mark Nii Akwei Ankrah indicated that “all of the company’s decisions were made upon the approval of the board.”

According to him, the land that was not sold but then was given out on corporate grounds was a decision that was taken by the board.

He emphasized that the information that was put out there by some sections of the media are all not true.

Therefore “the management and the board have come to a conclusion that it would be necessary to put the facts and figures in the public domain, for the good people of this country to know and understand the issues".
