Arsenal survival chances handed boost

An 83rd minute fabulous free-kick from Douglas Nkrumah helped Berekum Arsenal to creep from a goal down to beat Tema Youth 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League.

Midfielder Isaac Nyarko scored a cracking free-kick from 25 yards out to carve the opener for Tema Youth in the 16th minute.

But a sweet lobbying effort from Ibrahim Dauda levelled the scoring for the hosts at the Golden City Park.

Arsenal piled more pressure as they gained total control of the game and made that count.

Seven minutes from time, former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko winger Nkrumah curled in a sensational free-kick that got the home fans on their feet.

This was a game that sold out an entertaining duel to a packed stadium with an all-running 90 minutes action.

Youth underlined their influence nice passing game and were dominant from the onset.

But Arsenal clawed back after their guests had taken the lead early in the first half and their third win of the season leaves them second bottom on the table.
